The Best Way to Clean Your Hair
The 3 Step Cleanse is a process O&M has introduced to encourage people to get the best results from using their product. At Salon Sassafras we stand behind this process 100%. This may not be necessary to do every single time you shampoo. We recommend the 3 Step Cleanse no more than once a week.
Calcium and heavy metals from the water, as well as pollution, dirt and products buildup on your hair throughout the week. This can leave the hair looking dull and lead to dryness and breakage. The purpose of the 3 Step Cleanse is to remove these impurities and leave your hair softer and shinier. To keep your hair healthy we recommend following these cleansing steps regularly.
1) Detox your hair. Use O&M detox shampoo to first cleanse all the impurities and buildup from your hair. Use about a teaspoon of shampoo and lather it up in your hands and distribute it evenly over your scalp and massage in for a good minute. This will stimulate blood flow to your scalp while removing buildup on the hair. Rinse well after.
2) Cleanse a second time. Use one of O&M’s three shampoos for your specific hair needs. You can choose from Fine Intellect for fine hair, Maintain the Main for all hair types, or Hydrate and Conquer for thirsty brittle locks. Use a moderate amount of shampoo, lather it up and massage into your scalp adding more if needed. Rinse well and prepare your hair for step three. We recommend towel drying the hair to remove most of the water.
3) Nourish your hair. Use one of O&M’s three conditioners for your specific hair needs. You can choose from Fine Intellect for fine hair, Maintain the Mane for all hair types, or Hydrate and Conquer conditioner for those extra thirsty ends. If you feel like your hair is in need of some extra help you can use O&M’s Power Base protein treatment or Seven Minute Miracle moisture mask instead. We recommend gently combing the conditioner/hair mask through the hair and leaving it in for 3-5 mins, or longer if you want to really treat your hair.
If you follow the 3 Step Cleanse then your products will reach their full potential and your hair will see the best results. All O&M shampoos are color safe, so you don’t have to worry about washing away your beautiful color in the process. If you have extremely delicate hair that needs extra love you can use Olaplex No.3 treatment after your detox step.
